Hi, I'm Vaneeka

I am a certified Transformational Life Coach and Mindfulness Meditation teacher. I trained with the Animas Centre for Coaching, where I completed a course accredited by the International Coaching Federation and the Association for Coaching. Additionally, I obtained my Mindfulness Meditation teacher certification through Mindfulness Now, a course approved by the British Psychological Society.

My Journey

My career began in care homes, where I managed staff and patients. It was here that my patience and empathy grew as I listened to the life stories and regrets of many during their final years. Managing over 200 staff taught me how to handle conflict and develop solutions while valuing each individual’s perspective.

From there, I transitioned into the world of sports and remedial massage. I gained valuable insights into how the body functions and how lifestyle choices impact long-term well-being. This area of study has always intrigued me. Today, I support students through coaching and have developed a CPD course for the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage, focusing on starting a business in a way that aligns with personal values and maintains balance in one’s life.

Over the past 20 years, I have continually expanded my knowledge through research and study, striving to make the most of my life. About 10 years ago, I realized that while continuous learning and staying physically active seemed sufficient, they were not enough. I reached a breaking point due to overexertion, which led to a lack of energy, motivation, and emotional exhaustion.

This was my turning point. I was compelled to look within and understand the damage caused by my own thoughts and actions. The changes I made were truly transformational. I believe that everyone has the strength to create a balanced and purposeful life, and I am passionate about helping others discover and harness this power.

Now, as a mother of two young children, I work alongside my husband, a Soft Tissue Massage Therapist. Together, we run a mind and body clinic that supports people with their mental and physical wellness. I apply all the skills I have acquired to help individuals reach their full potential. Sharing the knowledge I’ve gained and seeing others create fulfilling lives brings me immense satisfaction.

We’ll work together to move from where you are now to where you want to be. This involves exploring your current situation, identifying any blind spots or limiting beliefs, and addressing mental barriers such as lack of motivation and confidence.

By tackling these hurdles, challenging your fears, and working through personal judgments, we pave the way for your growth. I use my skills and mindfulness techniques to create personalized programs tailored to your needs.

Is Coaching the same as Therapy?

Coaching is distinct from therapy and is not intended to replace it. While you are encouraged to share relevant aspects of your past to provide context, our primary focus will be on helping you achieve the future you envision, rather than addressing past traumas.
I have effectively supported clients through various challenges, including depression, anxiety, difficult relationships, and weight management. Should it become clear during our sessions that medical intervention may be more appropriate, I will advise you accordingly and assist you in obtaining the necessary support.

What if is doesn't work for me?

Coaching provides a non-judgmental, open, and confidential space where we can work together collaboratively. This process of self-exploration will enhance your self-awareness, reshape various aspects of your life, and empower you to build on your strengths with increased confidence.
Whether you choose to engage in one session or multiple sessions, you will gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding of yourself. This newfound clarity has the potential to positively impact your life significantly. By taking actionable steps based on these insights, you will be able to achieve meaningful progress and improvements.
